Jul. 5th, 2005 @ 11:15 pm Help!!
So this will be a quick one.

We... as in Katey, Brian, and I... need another roommate in a hurry. If anyone knows of a person that is reliable at paying bills, and who happens to need a place to stay near Monmouth/Salem area, drop either me or Katey a call. I would prefer someone I am at least aquainted too b/c most likely they will be sharing a room with me.

If there are prospects that you know of please lend them and us a hand.

About this Entry
Jul. 2nd, 2005 @ 12:37 am Yesterday and Today
So yesterday I got off work at noon and I was expecting to go out with Morgana at a Filipino food place. Our plans changed though because she had to work at a fireworks stand at Zupan's on 43. So instead we went to Philly's. A great steak and Hoggie(sp?) place down 43 across the street from the Blockbuster.

After we had lunch, she and I went to the fireworks stand and I kept her company the entire time. Seriously wouldn't you be bored if you had to work from 1-10 all by yourself? I would have... besides what else did I have to do? Thursdays are my Fridays bitches!!!

Anyways... Krista visited us and left. Then Eric came over and hung out till closing time. Oh and Josh Bihl visited us before his shift and during his lunch break from Zupan's. Afterwards we all took a trip to this famed Voodoo doughnut shop which wasn't as great as some people said it was. Sure they had strange flavors and shapes for doughnuts but nothing struck me as "spectacular" or "great". I could have gotten my favorite doughnut from Haggen for half the price and be more satisfied.

Now for today's events. Well... I didn't wake up until about 12:15 this morning, which hasn't happened in a long time. I usually wake up at 8:00. I ate some breakfast/lunch then I just chilled at home. Then about 1:30 or so a industrial truck comes in a dumps a heap of barkdust on my neighbors driveway. A heap that is half ours and half theirs. Tomorrow, or today, I have to spread all of that around our yard in our flower beds. Joy oh Joy.

Later, around 3 I walked the kids to Blockbuster and back. On the way back though, I ran in Casey Mcnamee. A kid from high school that I haven't seen for about a year. Tomorrow morning I am going to do some catch up with him a Brittany at Shari's for breakfast at 8am.

So if I want to be able bodied and mentally awake tomorrow, I will have to bid adieu for now. If you want to have breakfast with Brittany, Casey, and myself tomorrow, you are more than welcome to join. The more the merrier.

About this Entry
Jun. 21st, 2005 @ 09:29 am Lot's has happened and a lot is to happen.
So.... it has been ages since I last posted. Let's see.... a friend has been engaged, I had my last concerts in M.S. and Chamber Choir, finals are over, some friends are at camp, some friends made up from past problems, hung out at Jan's, I helped a friend move to Pasco, my sister graduated and she has had a boyfriend for at least a month without telling the family, went to the Tigard Balloon Festival, one of my high school teachers/mentor/director/friend has retired and my uncle and his family visited for a week ( in which I spent over $110 shopping for cloths with my new step aunt who rocks!!). Yup it seems like a lot and not all of these events occured in the order they came in.

Now what is to come... I guess I am going camping with my best friend and some other people. He is doing all the planning so I know nothing of the logistics. This Wednesday I am going down to McMinnville to get rid of some clothes for cash. This Friday I am going to spend some time with my dear friend Anna at the beach, where we are going to visit Brenna, Steven, and Rachelle. It is going to be some fun times. And at sometime this summer I am attending a wedding. I guess Richie Hays is having a party near the end of July? And finally I am also going to visit my uncle Vern in Texas and hopefully my Aunt Cindy will visit while I am down there from Houston.

All in all it is going to be a pretty laid back summer. I thought I was going to take some classes before going down to Monmouth but I guess I am not. Mainly because I haven't had a summer with studying for such a long time I've decided to take a break.

Until next time folks and I promise the next entry will not be as lengthy.

May. 11th, 2005 @ 02:28 pm Welty
This is for those of us that went to WLHS.

So I was trying to find a way to contact an old teacher of mine for a recommendation and I stumbled upon some news. Mr. Welty, everyones toughest English teacher, is retiring this year. A reitrement party is being arranged sometime on June 4. I found this out on the highschools website.

Spread the word even if you don't plan on coming. You never know who might want to come.

About this Entry
May. 2nd, 2005 @ 12:45 pm 1/2 deaf
Current Temperment: Damn Ear
So yesterday I became half deaf. My right ear, which so happens to be my dominant ear is completely plugged. I do have a past history of wax build up, so it doesn't surprise me that I have it plugged by now. The last time this happened was when I was a child in Okinawa. The last time I got it cleaned however was when I got my nose broken. Which turned out to be perfect timing since I had a concert that night to attend to. In short... being deaf in one ear blows. Wouldn't it suck to have permanent ear damage and I really couldn't hear in that ear again?!!

In recent events... my father and I have just finished laying tile in our entry way. Now all that has to be done is the grouting and it will completely done. YAY!! Home projects rule!

About this Entry
May. 1st, 2005 @ 02:24 am YAY for high school.
So for those of you who are WLHS alumni, May Day celebrations were on this past friday. It was great to see basically the last wave of people that I know at the high school to be at the top of their game. It was also great to see other people like Ryan Mcall, Katey Bridge, and Laura Wilson. Speaking of Laura... that girl has been around WL since December and I didn't know!!! We are definately going hang out more often.

Yesterday, I saw Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Needless to say... I absolutely love the stimulating, intelligent sarcasm of british humour. I didn't know that this movie was also a series of books per say. So for those of you who are close by there may be a great idea for a gift in a month or so. *wink *wink.

Also I got to hang out with some of my new found friends from Tualatin that evening as well. It's funny because I see a lot of parallels between them and the people I hung out in high school. So sometime in the near future I would like mix the two groups. Katey and myself are already blended with Sarah, Eric, and Brice. What can I say... there is no such thing as too much of a good thing.

Oh last but not least, this past evening was my sister's prom. She looked so gorgeous in her dress. I love her so much. She's graduating in such a short time now. Oh I better stop... I'm getting to emotional. I'll save it until she does graduate.

So yay for high school, friends, british humour, and my sister.

Apr. 25th, 2005 @ 12:47 pm Tiresome.
So after ACDA I have decided that I am no longer satisfied with my education at CCC. This is to no offense to the music department (except Lonnie of course) but I just don't belong here anymore.

There were many personal reasons why I did not want to go to a university for my first couple years of college. But now I have the urge to leave. There is a great deal of promise that I'll be WOU next year and I'll have my own house!!

Speaking of which, so my parents are the ones that suggested that I get my own home while I am down in Monmouth. It turns out that if I get a home that has 4Br/2Bth and a 2 car garage @6% interest on a 30 year loan... with 5 roommates the cost can go down to as low as $188!! Of course that is not including taxes and utilities.

So there is some exciting stuff happening in my life. I first have to apply to WOU, which is no problem at all, then I have to make sure that they get my FAFSFA forms for student loans and make sure that I audition for there music groups and I'll be set.

I'll post more info as it comes in.

About this Entry
Apr. 12th, 2005 @ 04:41 pm It's been a while.

So... it's been a week since I last updated and not a whole lot has happened. On Friday, a whole bunch of Mainstreamers celebrated my classmate, Reggie's birthday. A whole whoppin 23 years old. Man do I feel so young... I don't turn 20 until June! Too bad that I couldn't stay the entire time though, I had a major headache going on so I went home early.

On Saturday I had breakfast at Shari's in West Linn with my dear friend Brittany. She and I caught up on the past 4 weeks of life and afterwards we took a stroll down in the park close by. While we were there we got attacked by a male goose. It was the funniest thing ever. Here's a picture of what the goose looked like.

He was a tempermental little bastard of a bird. What was great about the whole thing was the fact that he came into our space as he and the female goose walked across the park. After the bird attempted to bite both the both of us, Brittany and I laughed for a good two minutes or so.

So that was last week... hopefully this week will be more exciting. Mainstream is going to the Jazz Summit in Eugene on Thursday and we will be staying down there to gig on Friday and we will be coming home on Saturday. Ciao for now.

Apr. 4th, 2005 @ 09:14 pm Monday sucks!
Current Temperment: Car failure is fun!!
So for today's events we start off with a broken down P.O.S. of a truck. Yes my truck stopped at the intersection of Hwy 213 and Beaver Creek Rd in the lane with no controlled stops. Thankfully my friend Brenna, who I was meeting for coffee, was there to keep me company while the Oregon City Sheriff helped me get a tow for my truck. My mom came over to watch the truck as Brenna took me to Starbucks for coffee. Bless my mother and Brenna for helping me. For tomorrow and thursday my friend Ryan is going to give me a ride to school... he owe's me big time for rides because I drove him constantly during high school. But even if he didn't owe, he would have helped me out because he is such a great friend. Now I need to figure out a way to get myself home after 9:00pm tomorrow evening and after 5:00pm on thursday. Any help is much appreciated.

I didn't feel like going to class this morning for Keyboarding Skills for I was too distraught over my morning events. I had no Chamber Choir so Eric F. and I went to Red White & Blue Thrift Store and Value Village where Eric bought a Coke can, and a green trench coat. Later on I went to Mainstream where we discussed the jazz summit and expectations of class for this quarter.

So I'll find out what is truly wrong with my truck tomorrow. In the mean time I should be getting ready for bed... I have to meet my friend Ryan @ 7am. Ciao.

About this Entry
Apr. 4th, 2005 @ 01:24 pm What a weekend!!
So Friday was a useless day for class... we didn't sing at all in Chamber Choir, Mainstream was canceled, and I showed up to Midi Lab with my finished assignments. That night was our St. Matthew Passion performance at CCC.

There was a review done in the paper about the performance and it pretty much said that the venue was horrible for our performance, the choir was mediocre, and the music was to ambitious for he orchestra. I personally agree with the assessment of the choir and it was true that the orchestra was not too hot that evening. But the critic tore apart the tenor that sang the Evangelist part... I love that tenor's voice. It was evident that he was vocally exhausted when he was performing and he also has horrible asthma problems but his performance was great!! He also sings more often in the Bach than any other soloist. The bass that sang the Jesus parts was great, and so were the soprano and the alto soloists. However the other bass which I dubbed as "quasimodo" was horrendous!!! His vibrato was all over, his pitch was all over, he made up the German, and last but not least... his tone was very... very ugly.

On Saturday I worked from 11-3 in the math lab, and it was very boring. I seem to have picked the least favorite hours to work...7:30am-10am T/TH 2-3 W, 11-3 Sat. But hey it's hours and 9.83/hr ain't bad. L8r that day I hung out with my friend Ryan of whom I miss oh so very much. Which reminds me that I need to get him, my new friend Anna, and Eric together so they can be acquainted. They are all going to Multnomah Bible College in the near future so I thought it would be nice if they all met before hand.

Now for Sunday. Daylight Savings blows. Losing an hour of sleep threw me in for a loop. The performance of the bach was a lot better on Sunday in my opinion. L8r, a couple of choir folk went out for pizza... some very expensive pizza. Thankfully it was paid by Lonnie so it didn't hurt my pocket book. I got lost getting there thanks to some false directions. I was pissed but I cooled down thankfully. After that we hung out at Eric #2's place and it was loads of fun.

I have more to write about but I think I'll save that for l8r.

Mar. 31st, 2005 @ 06:39 pm Skipper!

So Rachelle and Steven were bored today... and I decided to give a day to myself :). I ran some errands, visited a friend, and went home to play with my little bro.

Here are my quiz results... you should see my friends results too.

"In your eyes, people see shards of ice everywhere... You are cold and distant, pushing away people that love you and truely care for you! You want to be able to reach out and love them but... You can't for some reason... You're just too.... You :P Underneath that cold exterior lies a warm, happy soul that wants to let loose and have fun! Your sanctuary would probably be anywhere up high where you can look down on life below you, like the roof of an apartment building... Your eyes resemble a saddened, crestfallen person seeking out attention, but doesn't know how to handle it. However, you do find comfort from your friends, they're always there for you, and they know the REAL you :) Even though you do seem rather cold, you can be very protective over something you truely believe in or love. Let go of that "tough" rep and just be you! It's impossible to live life without some fun and love ^-^"

Kinda true no? Well anyway I'll post l8r about my day.

Boy do I feel like poop. This morning it took me a long time to get ready for school...probably because I didn't have to pick up Ro. Besides this morning though, I have just been feeling down all day. Mixed feelings of anxiety, anger, bewilderment and sadness can take a lot out of someone in a very short period of time. FYI most of my feelings come from nowhere so don't ask.

Right now I should be going to Mainstream, but I really don't want to go because we only have half of a rehearsal today. The rest of the time is getting setup for the dress rehearsal for the St. Matthew Passion by J.S. Bach. Lonnie seems to think that I am the only person that knows how to set the damn platforms up so he kinda relying on me to be there for setup.(Damn).

Tonight, after rehearsal I am going straight home to unwind.

So I guess I lied about the last entry being the last one for the day.

Right now I am working in the math lab by myself, and with no one to help with math. Thank goodness I get paid more than minimum wage for this job. However, it is only the beginning of the term so the pace will pick up soon, especially when midterms come along.

Today was a actually good day for me despite the crazy hours of work. Lonnie didn't piss me off like usual, I had a good lunch with Ro and Theory was good, even though I was falling asleep during class.

That's all for now... I don't really have anything exciting or aggravating to say. So ciao for now.
